Who we are
This website is run by nouplica, Lisbon, Portugal, which is responsible for the personal data described here. For anything related to your data, write to hello@nouplica.com.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us through the contact form: your name, email address, company (optional), the topic and your message. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Conversations with the nouplica assistant
The assistant on this website is an artificial intelligence. When you talk to it, we store the text of the conversation (your questions and its answers), the language, the date and time, and a random identifier for that conversation. We do not store your IP address or any audio. We use these records only to review and improve the answers, on the basis of our legitimate interest in providing a useful service. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the conversation.
If you choose to leave your name and email (and, if you wish, your company and phone number) in the conversation and agree that we may use them, the assistant sends your request to our mailbox so that we can reply. We treat these details like a contact form message: the legal basis is your consent, and we keep them for up to 24 months after our last contact.
To produce the answers, your questions are processed by Anthropic (the language model) and, when the voice is on, by Google (speech). If you use the microphone, speech recognition is provided by your browser. Conversations are kept for up to 12 months.
To protect the form against spam, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical information about your browser and connection (such as your IP address) to tell people from bots.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you wish, to follow up on it. The legal basis is your consent, given when you tick the box in the form, and the steps needed before any agreement with you.
- To keep the website and the form secure. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing abuse.
Who processes it
Our website, the form and email delivery run on Cloudflare, Inc., which acts as our processor. Your message reaches our mailbox through our email provider. Some of these services may process data outside the European Union, under the safeguards required by the GDPR (such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses). We never sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep your message and contact details for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless a working relationship requires longer. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
What we store in your browser
Your choice of light or dark mode is kept in your browser’s local storage, and your language choice in a cookie called nouplica_lang (for one year), so the site opens in the language you picked. Both exist only to remember your preferences and are not used to track you.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@nouplica.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date above.
